Slow week at work
We Left with good intentions for lots of miles to put on before we went on holidays. Seems dispatching had other plans. Lets blame it on the economy. There were noloads going out so we came home. I guess it is better than sitting on the road.
Pulling the twin 53 foot trailers is sure a different way of doing trucking. We are only allowed in certain areas of the city and we also need a lot of room to turn.
I think the only problems we will have is dealing with the wind. No matter if we go east or west the wind is always coming from the front.
Going into truck stops with these things is also out of the question. It is a good thing we are self contained in the truck.
Well so much for the trucking thing for this week. Next week I will be helping on the Habitat for Humanity project. They say a change is as good as a rest so this will get me back to my construction days. I should have more to blog about next week as this is happening.
In the mean time I am going to try and post a picture of Ellie and my truck with the turnpikes.

Begining things from the middle
Well this has finaly happened. Either I am too bored at what I was doing and needed something to distract me or I just want to let the world know whats happening in my life. I will try it in this blog.
This blog will be about my life at Ellie and My dream house here in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba and what go ons. At times things get very interesting with my colorful and yet wonderful neighbors. I have truly been blessed to have such great people around here.
It will also be about Ellie and my fishing escapades in our boat we call the TINtanic. As a matter of fact that is where the title comes from. As we were fishing one day we saw bubbles coming up from the water. Ellie said there is a fish down there and I replied "why? did it fart?" She said sure fish do Break wind.
To have such a conversation about things we cannot see can be stange at best.
This blog will also be about us forever trying to finish our house. We are building it ourselfs and of course we are over budget with a great kitchen and wide open exspanse of a home. But we love it and soon it will be finished. Just have to stay out of the boat or away from the many get togethers out here.
last but not least it will be about our second life as truck drivers on the road. Now there are a million stories to be told about that. We have been driving together for 14 years. Yes in a 6 foot by 8 foot cab hurtaling down the road at 100 KMS per hour.
So thanks for following and I hope I can make you smile with my prose.
